Ismail Gôgenur, MD, DMSc Professor, and is the Director and founder of the Center for Surgical Science at Zealand University Hospital in Koege, Denmark. He is a distinguished surgeon and scientist with expertise in colorectal disease. As the founder and head of the Center for Surgical Science (CSS), he leads a multidisciplinary team of over 50 scientists engaged in vitro research, animal studies, clinical research protocols (including international multi-center international trials) and big data methodologies. His work primarily focuses on understanding individual risk profiles of patients undergoing colorectal cancer surgery and their impact on both short- and long-term oncological outcomes.
